How to get more customers at shows and events

Shows and events  can be a great expense.    You have to pay for your rented space.
These could include gun shows,  bridal shows, oudoor shows, trade shows, fairs, and festivals.
Once a potential customer passes your table, they will probably forget about you and your company.
Here is a tip.
With everyone, I mean everyone that passes by your table; hand them a small gift such as a pen, pencil, ruler, small calendar, ect. with your company's name, phone number and web address  imprinted on it,   (these type of products will be more readily accepted than a plain old business card.)
Only give them a business card and/or brochure if they ask for it.
Another Tip:
Do not display your promotional items on your table.  They won't last long.
Kids are the worst about taking a handful of  items at one time.
Keep some of your promotional items  in your hands and give them out idividually to ADULTS only!
You're get more follow-up calls after the event and make more sales.
